MY STORY

Hui-Ju is an Assistant Professor in the Graduate Institute of Journalism at National Taiwan University (TAIWAN). She received her Ph.D. degree in Media and Communication, Social Sciences at Loughborough University (the UK) with her thesis “Creative industries policy in Taiwan: the effects of neoliberal reform.”

 

She is a member of Campaign for Media Reform [CMR] in Taiwan. Her research orientation is critical political economy approach to studying culture and communication policies. Hui-Ju is especially interested in platformisation of communication and everyday life, streaming media, public service media, and the democratisation of mass culture.
